A Man Named Levi (Mark 2:13-17)
In this sermon Daniel opens up Mark 2:13-17 and examines the well known encounter between Jesus and Levi the tax collector; reminding us that wherever Jesus went, he took time to look, and talk and walk and “do life” with people in his community. As a result, people’s lives were dramatically changed. Daniel examines how Jesus’ command for Levi to “follow me” and Levi’s obedience gives us a small glimpse into why Jesus came: not to spend time with perfect people, but to find and save messy people. Jesus came to save sinners.
